Core Aeration

Breath Life into your Roots

Over time your soil naturally becomes compacted, leaving the subsoil undesirable for healthy lawn growth.  Walking, playing, mowing, and watering compact particles and reduce the air space necessary for root growth.

Compaction is greatest in the upper 1" to 1.5" of soil and needs to be relieved by mechanical aeration.  This mechanical process plugs 2"-3" deep, finger size holes into the soil to improve the air, water, and nutrient exchange with your roots.

Weed Control Begins With Pre-Emergent Herbicide

Lawn maintenance usually requires attentive weed control.  One of the most effective ways to control weeds is to apply pre-emergent herbicide, a chemical that prevents unwanted growth from appearing.  Contrary to popular belief, pre-emergent weed control doesn’t destroy weeds and their seeds, it simply stops them from growing.  Some seeds are known to last fifty years, so if the herbicide isn’t applied each year, the weed will grow!
